Bipolar disorder is a mental disorder that occurs when a person experiences changes in mood. The change is usually associated with extreme highs and lows in one’s personality. If this change isn’t controlled, the person could experience serious medical conditions that lead to death. Bipolar disorder is considered to be a chronic disease, and it may last throughout the person’s life. Children who suffer from bipolar disorder may act in strange ways, and they may have problems focusing in school.
